U.S. Capitol, Washington, D.C.

The U.S. Capitol at night looks amazing! This was taken on a cold December night. I walked from the White House to the Capitol. My fingers were so cold I couldn't feel them. But I set up the tripod I'd been carrying around and got this shot. It made me feel like the trek was worth it.

Old State Capitol, IL

This is the old state capitol building located in downtown Springfield, IL. This is where Abe Lincoln served prior to becoming the 16th President of the United States. And, on these grounds, where President Obama announced his candidacy for President.

New Orleans Alley

It was my last day in New Orleans and I hadn't gotten any good shots so I made a quick pass around the Jackson Square area a couple hours before my flight left. The neon REAL ESTATE sign in this alley caught my eye. It had been raining and was still drizzling. I didn't want to set up the tripod so I just leaned against

Sentinel and Superman

These horses are boarded at a farm near my home.  Using a wide-angle lens, I was closer to this animal than it appears in the picture.  Not being familiar with horses, I couldn't tell by this look if he was posing or getting ready to bite me.  Just as I was ready to take the picture, the second horse began creeping into the picture.  Click...
